Thank you, common fan for that letter. I’ve been planning to write one such post, a even nastier one, though. Since you claim to have been a fan of Vensarkar, this is commendable.

What a git! He’s lost a lot of respect with his harsh comments on Dravid, Ganguly and now Kumble.

I totally agree with you.
I am surprised how similar my thoughts were to yours.

To top it all, Vengsarkar’s retaliation was based on hearsay – before the authenticity of the interview was verified. Ideally it should have been BCCI asking for a written explanation from Ganguly.

Is it not significant that the bengali newspaper (AajKal) itself has not challenged Ganguly’s denial.
